이 논문은 특히 글로컬(glocal) 물 위기의 맥락에서 물의 정의를 옹호하고 실현하는 데 있어 교회의 중요한 역할을 탐구한다. 이 글은 기독교인들 사이의 실천적 참여의 중요성을 강조한다. 실천 순환(praxis cycle) 안에서 '행동하는 신학' 접근법을 적용하고, 사목 순환(pastoral cycle)의 '보고-판단하고-행동하기' 방법을 통합함으로써, 본 연구는 인간중심주의적이고 남성중심주의적인 관점을 비판하고 다양한 지역적 대응에 귀 기울이는 것의 중요성을 주장한다. 또한, 한국 교회의 신학적이고 실천적인 대응을 고찰하며, 맥락에 맞는 접근법의 가치를 강조한다. 이 논문은 교회가 물의 정의 문제에 대한 실천적 대응으로서 '물을 의식하는 선교'를 추구할 것을 옹호한다. 궁극적으로, 이 글은 기독교인들이 이러한 문제들을 해결하는 데 있어 상호연결성과 협력적인 노력을 증진하도록 영감을 주는 것을 목표로 한다.
This article explores the significant role of churches in advocating for and realizing water justice, particularly in the context of a glocal water crisis. It emphasizes the importance of practical engagement among Christians. By applying a ‘theology in action’ approach within the praxis cycle and incorporating the ‘see-judge-act’ method of the pastoral cycle, the study argues for the importance of critiquing anthropocentric and androcentric perspectives, as well as listening to a variety of local responses. Additionally, the theological and practical responses of Korean churches are considered, highlighting the value of contextually informed approaches. This article advocates for churches to seek a ‘water-conscious mission’ as practical responses to water justice challenges. Ultimately, it aims to inspire Christians to foster interconnectedness and collaborative efforts in addressing these issues.
